Christmas is coming~

為了迎接我最愛的聖誕節，跟即將開跑的聖誕特惠，昨天晚上到了老東西佈置我可愛的櫃子，並放入為了聖誕來臨製作的最新作品，將濃濃的聖誕氣息放到我的櫃子裡～



每個櫃子佈置完都超級溫暖可愛的～

雖然一連佈置了四個小時左右，卻依舊非常的有成就感！
每個都是我絞盡腦汁好幾天，趕工做出來佈置品，中間一度後悔大學沒修櫥窗設計，但成果都還是相當不錯～:)

For my favorite holiday Christmas is coming and Christmas Sale, I went to Old Stuff and decorated my showcases yesterday. I set few new products and holiday moods in them.
Each showcase has different kinds of happiness and joy feeling. Even I spent about four hours, I really feel so accomplished.
I've designed a couple days and made all decorations. Although I didn't learn about window design, I think I still make a good job!:)

Autumn is coming, and long necklace is the most suitable ornament of clothes that we're ready to put on like long knitting wear and scarf. That's also what I loved most.

New items here are, 'Circle' pendant- on an 18" chain and limited one 'White Rose' pendant- on a 24" chain.

The surface of 'Circle' Pendant is wood texture, as well as the center of circle contains three zircon briolette stones with olive color. I just try to represent the circle of life as a scene of a tree's growing process - from seed, tree, and fruits strung together. It's a simple shape with characteristics and feminine. It also has two ways to wear.
'White Rose' is an Art Nouveau style pendant with a drop opal ball. I think resolution of women is like a white rose. They never give up and shines like Milky Way when they're in the darkness night and situation.

Every chain of Miss Maru© is able to be changed in different length. It's free within 2". Custom order is always welcome.

最新作品 :: 夢想之翼＆Bone系列 / New Collections

自己一直很喜歡輕龐克與輕搖滾的風格，不管是搖滾的歌曲，還是略帶龐克感覺的打扮，都是自己願意接受且不排斥的一部分。也許是因為血液裡常流著叛逆的因子，有著憤世忌俗的想法，所以特別會對龐克與搖滾有同類相近的感覺吧！

而龐克與搖滾的配件常常有許多共通的圖像或是造型，譬如骷髏、鉚釘、跟哥德風的圖案等等，但自己則特別偏好翅膀、骨頭，這些略帶粗獷卻平易近人樣式。

「夢想之翼」是取用翅膀圖案製作的系列作品。代表可以翱翔天際的翅膀，總是特別讓人想要擁有；而美麗的翅膀圖案，更是可遇不可求。自己親手設計與雕出的翅膀造型，不但可以不同於任何市面上的翅膀樣式，更可以利用豐厚的羽毛與流暢的弧度，表現出最完美且獨一無二的翅膀造型。

兩個系列的耳環，都是非常特殊醒目的設計，相信只要戴上它們，叫人不注意都很難～

I accept and love a little bit of punk and rock things, including of rock and roll music and punk clothes. Maybe it's because of the rebel against is in my blood, and I never think world is perfect, that's why I'm so parallel to PUNK.

The PUNK always has common symbolization, such as skull, rivet, and Gothic style. But I like wing and bone shapes that with bold and friendly feelings preferably.

In 'Wings Of Dream' collection, I used my favorite 'wing shape'. I designed and carved my own 'wing shape' with rich feathers and more smoth outlines. They're unique and Maru Style Wings!

'Bone' collection is one of my favorite collections. It's simple and suitable for any occasions. I usually wear bone ring to anywhere. It also fit men.

The earrings of two collections are very eye-catching. They really put the soul into the art.

珠寶知識 :: 銀的金屬材質介紹 / Silver Properties

自從開始學習金工，銀這個材質就被大量的使用，除了銀與其他貴金屬（金、鈀、鉑、銠）相比起來價格比較經濟實惠，也因為銀有著非常大的柔軟度與延展性，因此相當適合做各式大型與金工技巧學習。

George Jensen魚盤 / Covered Fish Dish
George Jensen 知名的魚盤，就是銀匠利用手工將銀塊鍛敲，花費550～600小時，慢慢延展而成的，金屬中也只有銀才能達到這樣具延展性而堅固實用的效果。

當然在使用一種材料製作作品之前，瞭解材料是非常重要的一件事，不但有助於製造使用，也助於結合其他的應用。

銀由於價格昂貴，具有亮麗的銀白色光澤，外表美觀，化學性質穩定，具有較強的保值能力，因此隸屬於貴金屬之一，延展性僅次於金。純銀(99.9% pure)相當柔軟，為了增強其硬度及加工適性，並降低其熔點以方便加工，通常會製作成合金。最常用的銀合金為「925銀」(Sterling silver)，它是由92.5%的純銀和7.5%的銅所組成，純銀的熔點為960.5°C，925銀的熔點則為893°C。除了925銀，常用的銀合金還有950銀以及850銀等。

銀的原礦 / A Nugget of Silver

銀的歷史大概可以追溯至西元前，這個名詞慢慢出現在大量的歐洲古老書籍上，在那古老的時代，因為銀的潔白與明亮，所以也被月亮的圖形表示著，而後便有了各種零星的銀飾品的設計，包括銀幣和裝飾品。到了十六、十七世紀，金銀金屬工藝開始慢慢的成型，大量的銀開始被金工師父製造成各式的裝飾品與傢飾品，到了十九世紀時，在高級場合的餐桌上使用925銀製的餐具成了一股流行文化，也因而出現了許多銀具公司。

在1851年，Tiffany生產了以925銀標準製造的銀器，成為美國第一家使用此標準生產產品的公司，以925銀製成的首飾也開始風行起來。時至今日，百年以上銀飾設計公司除了Tiffany，還包括知名的George Jensen，兩者都因為卓越的設計與工藝而受到大眾的喜愛。另外現在如Chrome Hearts、Justin Davis、 Wolfman B.R.S.等品牌，則是因為受到明星藝人的喜愛，而成為知名銀飾品牌。

而 Miss Maru© 選擇925銀為製作材質的原因，除了延展性高易於加工之外，也因為銀經過手工拋光之後，不同於一般電鍍商品的平板亮銀，而是有著溫暖與柔和如同月光的光芒，讓人深深地著迷著。特別是銀經過人的配戴後，隙縫處慢慢氧化變黑，而外露或突出處因為常與人體碰觸，保持一樣潔白的狀態，更是散發出與其他金屬不同的懷舊風味。而這些細細的變化都需要仔細的觀察，用心的珍惜，才能得到一件藝術品經由自己蛻變成不同風貌的美好。


Since I learned silversmithing, 'Silver' plays a very important role of making jewelry. It's because of silver's price(cheaper than other precious metal) and ductility(less than gold). High ductility of silver makes it can be forged into large functional objects, like bowls and pots. That's why many teachers choose silver as main metal to teach students know metalwork skills.

Before making any piece of work, I think it's important to realize the properties of metal chosen as material. It not only helps making jewelry, but also helps doing integration with other kinds of materials.

Silver has high economic value, shining surface, less reactive than most elements and been known valued as a precious metal. The ductility is only less than gold. Fine silver (99.9% pure) is generally too soft for producing large functional objects; therefore, the silver is usually alloyed with copper to give it strength. The alloy silver used frequently is '925 sterling silver'- containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. The melting point of pure silver is about 960.5 °C, sterling silver is 893°C. There're still other alloys of silver used usually '950 silver' and '850 silver'.

Silver's history has been known since ancient times. It is mentioned in the age-old books. Because of silver is white and shining, The symbol for the moon has been used to represent silver since ancient times. And later, silver was refined and coined in its pure form as money, and other kinds of accessories. During the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, silversmithing appeared. There were a lot of objects and ornaments that made by silversmiths and masters worked in family of jewelers. In nineteen century, sterling silver flatware became de rigueur when setting a proper table. There was a marked increase in the number of silver companies that emerged during that period.

In 1951, Tiffany used sterling standard to make products and became the first American company adopted United States Sterling Standard. At that time, sterling silver standard products became popular. To date, there's not only Tiffany that has hundred year history of making silver products, but also George Jensen; they're adored by the high quality of design and technique. There're many new brands such as Chrome Hearts, Justin Davis, Wolfman B.R.S. ...etc, are famous for entertainer effects these days.

Miss Maru© chooses sterling silver as material is because of it's high ductility and unique brilliance when polished. The brilliance of silver is so attractive and like moon light, not like plated-ones with flat gloss. As time pass through, silver will be oxidized and shows its ture color by wearing. It's really fascinating to have these changes made by myself. And as the years go by, silver is not only a metal, but also an art work which turns alive when it changes in front of us.

客訂作品 :: 追憶墜 / Custom Order

這件作品是8月29日完成的，也是第二個客戶訂做的追憶墜，訂做的時間大約需要兩個禮拜，包括客人選擇與準備自己的圖片、修圖、校稿、出圖、修台製作...，之後就會有屬於自己圖像的追憶墜了！


特別的是，自從 Miss Maru © 開幕以來訂做的這兩件追憶墜，客戶都不約而同的準備了自己過世的寵物照片，而在這之前，有關追憶墜的設計理念與想法，並未經由任何管道傳達給客戶，但客戶似乎經由了追憶墜的成品或是照片，得到了這個方向的聯想，選擇放入過世的寵物照片。也許是因為造型，也許是因為他們也同樣的感受到作品傳達的感傷。真正的原因雖然不得而知，但是這樣的選擇，卻讓我非常感動，因為我的作品，是真正可以傳達一種想法給客戶，並且是跟初衷一模一樣的。

這樣無形的鼓勵，也默默的成為了我的動力，讓我繼續努力的將作品的理念，傳達到所有人的腦海裡。

This is the second custom pendant of 'Remembrance Of Things Past: Memories' finished on 29 August. It takes about two weeks to make including acquiring the photo, making effects of digital image, printing the image, and setting the items..,etc. At the end of work, customer will receive an unique pendant belong to their own.

Most particularly, these two images of custom pendants 'Remembrance Of Things Past: Memories' of Miss Maru © all are the passed pets photos of two different cutomers. Before that, the idea or concept of 'Remembrance Of Things Past: Memories' wasnever been told or shown to customers. It maybe means that customers could get or realize my original thought by the shape or the image of work. I have no ideas why they could get my thought, but I really touched by things they did. I'm so happy that people can realize my ideas through my works.


It gives me the power and energy to keep working on what I'm doing. And let me try to convey my thoughts harder as possible as I can.

Love Hook :: 七夕情人節限量作品 / Chinese Valentine's Day Couple's Pendant

又到的一年一度的七夕情人節了，當然 Miss Maru 不免俗的推出了情人節商品 :: Love Hook 純銀對墜。

對我來說在重要節日收到有意義的禮物，無疑是最開心的事了，而在禮物中最具有代表性跟價值性的，我想當然就是"首飾"了。"首飾"不但可以隨身配戴，而且只要品質良好，造型特別，不但可以襯托自己跟另一半的風格，也可以長久的使用，作為永遠的紀念。這也是我選擇製作首飾的原因之一。

Love Hook 純銀對墜系列，結合魚鉤與惡魔尾巴造型，簡單流線又不失風格，遠看就像一輪彎月，在夜晚中輕輕的閃耀，而擺在一起時的弧度，剛剛好是一個愛心。男生的惡魔尾巴朝左，女生的惡魔尾巴朝右。

It's more and more close to Chinese Valentine's Day, and Miss Maru also create new products 'Love Hook' couple's pendant for every lovers.

It's no doubt the happiest thing that receiving a gift from someone and sometime important. And I think the gift that can present heart and worth most is jewelry. Jewelry can be wore in every time and preserved a long time that has good quality. That's why I choose it become my work media.

The 'Love Hook' collection combined hook and devil tail shapes, just like love's evail part. The shape is also like crescent when you see them in the distance. They also show a heart shape when you put them together. The Men's Tail faces left, the Women's Tail faces right. Their reflection of each as well as a heart. Men's pendant is suitable for women, too.
